05/07/07 Systems and Services Certification New innovation helps to meet parallel food safety requirements with one audit
Food manufacturers, ingredient suppliers and other players within the complex supply chains are often under pressure to satisfy various customer requirements. Complex supply chains can mean multiple, parallel requirements for suppliers and lead to duplicate systems, audits and paper work. Yet, there are many similarities in the requirements of most international food safety and quality standards. As the first certification body, SGS has developed a set of solutions that help to meet the requirements of most internationally recognized food safety or quality standard including ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, BRC and IFS with a single audit.

In April 2007, Southampton Fruit Handling Ltd became the first company to receive the new BRC Global Standard certification for Storage and Distribution issued by SGS.
14/06/07 Systems and Services Certification SGS Spain joins the European Commission TRACEBACK programme as a key expert
SGS Systems and Services Certification Spain take part in TRACEBACK, a project within the European Commission’s Sixth Framework Programme involving 28 partners from eleven countries.
